Muscat– The South Al Sharqiyah Municipality has initiated a new campaign to address the issue of abandoned and scrap vehicles littering public spaces in Al Ashkhara.

Conducted by the Al Ashkhara branch of the Ja’alan Bani Bu Ali Municipality, the inspection drive specifically targets derelict vehicles often left parked outside workshops. As part of the enforcement action, municipal teams have begun placing warning stickers on these vehicles.

Authorities stated that these abandoned units significantly detract from the local urban landscape and environmental aesthetics. Owners of the identified vehicles have been urged to comply with the municipal notices immediately and remove their property.

The municipality has warned that failure to adhere to these instructions could result in further legal or administrative actions being taken against the owners.
