MUSCAT – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion has officially prohibited the sale, distribution, and circulation of the ‘Na! Na! Na! Surprise’ interactive baby doll across the Sultanate.

The nationwide ban was issued following a consumer safety warning on July 26, 2026, after authorities identified potential health and safety risks linked to the toy’s chemical composition.

The specific product targeted by the ban includes:

    • Product: ‘Na! Na! Na! Surprise’ interactive baby doll

    • Model Number: 3435

    • Serial Number: 6991205071633

    • Country of Origin: China

According to the ministry, the decision was prompted by Notification No. AJN-35, received via the GCC Ajel System—the Gulf Cooperation Council’s rapid alert mechanism utilized for tracking and flagging unsafe consumer goods.

Authorities have strongly urged parents and members of the public to immediately stop letting children use or handle the toy, as the chemical compounds found within it could pose direct health and safety hazards. Retailers and suppliers have been advised to pull the product from shelves immediately to ensure consumer safety in the local market.
