Muscat: The Food Safety and Quality Center has issued a public warning advising consumers to avoid two bottled water brands, Seven Rivers and Mountain Drops.

According to the Center, laboratory tests detected Pseudomonas aeruginosa in both products, a bacterium that poses health risks if consumed. The affected Seven Rivers batch includes 500 ml bottles produced on May 21, 2025, with an expiry date of May 21, 2026. The product originates from the United Arab Emirates.

Similarly, the Mountain Drops brand was also flagged, with contamination detected in 250 ml bottles from two separate batches: one produced on July 7, 2025 (expiry July 6, 2026, batch no. 6291105240727), and another produced on June 13, 2025 (expiry June 12, 2026, batch no. 2071473968911).
