MUSCAT: In response to soaring summer temperatures, private schools across Oman have started adjusting their daily schedules following an official directive from the Ministry of Education. The measures are intended to prioritize student safety during peak heat conditions.

According to a circular sent out to parents by an Indian school in the Sultanate, the adjusted dismissal times are structured as follows:

  • Kindergarten to Grade IV: Dismissed early at 11:00 AM.

  • Grade V to Grade XII: Dismissed at 12:00 PM.

These precautionary scheduling adjustments have been implemented to protect students from exposure to extreme heat during the hottest parts of the day.
