MUSCAT — The Oman Meteorology Department has announced that convective cloud activity is set to persist over the Al Hajar mountain range and its surrounding regions, bringing intermittent thundershowers varying in intensity from light to heavy.

According to weather updates, these thunderstorms may be accompanied by active downdraft winds, which could lead to blowing dust and temporary reductions in horizontal visibility in open areas.

Authorities have urged residents and visitors in the affected regions to remain vigilant and exercise caution, particularly by avoiding low-lying areas and overflowing wadis during periods of heavy rainfall. The public is also advised to stay updated on official meteorological announcements as unstable atmospheric conditions continue.
