MUSCAT — Muscat Municipality has released a step-by-step guide for motorists to utilize its online portal for obtaining technical damage assessment reports following traffic accidents. The digital service is part of an ongoing initiative to modernize municipal transactions and eliminate the need for in-person office visits.

According to municipal authorities, the online system is engineered to help vehicle owners precisely document property and vehicle damage. By digitizing the paperwork, the municipality aims to drastically speed up insurance claims, facilitate financial compensation, and provide transparent documentation for all parties involved in a collision.

Beyond personal vehicle assessments, the portal also processes reports concerning material damage caused to public infrastructure and municipality property during road accidents.

    Step-by-Step Portal Guide

To complete the digital application, users are advised to follow these steps:

    1.Access the Portal:Step 1.

Visit the official Muscat Municipality website and log into the E-Services platform.

    2.Locate the Section:Step 2.

Navigate to the option designated for Compensation service for material damage to public property.

    3.Select the Report Type:Step 3.

Choose the specific service titled Issuing technical reports on traffic accident damages.

    4.Submit Information:Step 4.

Input all required accident details, upload the necessary supporting documentation, and verify the accuracy of the data before submitting the application.

To make the transition easier, Muscat Municipality has integrated scannable QR codes onto its official awareness materials. Scanning these codes routes users directly to the specific application procedures, ensuring a faster turnaround time for urgent insurance claims.
