MUSCAT: Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a weather warning for a moderate dust storm forecast to sweep across several regions of the Sultanate. The weather system is expected to begin affecting the country from 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
According to meteorology officials, the primary impact will be felt in open plains and desert regions, specifically spanning the interior areas between Muscat and Duqm.
Because dust storms can rapidly reduce horizontal visibility on highways and open roads, residents and travelers are urged to exercise caution. The CAA advises the public to stay informed on the evolving conditions by checking live alerts via the Oman Meteorology official website or through their experimental mobile application.
