Muscat:

Air connectivity between Oman and Saudi Arabia is set to expand following approval from Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for Saudi Airlines to introduce new direct services.

Under the newly approved schedule, the Saudi national carrier will operate three direct flights per week connecting the Omani capital, Muscat, with the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The route officially launches on October 27, 2026.
The addition of these flights aims to provide travelers with more flexible options, catering to the growing volume of business travelers, tourists, and transit passengers moving between the two neighboring Gulf nations. Industry officials note that the initiative is part of broader, ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral transport links and deepen economic and regional ties between Oman and Saudi Arabia.
