MUSCAT — The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has issued amendments to the Executive Regulations of the Foreigners’ Residence Law, introducing a new complimentary 14-day tourist visa for eligible nationalities.

Published under Decision No. 109/2026, the updated regulations allow visitors from designated countries to enter the Sultanate for up to 14 days without paying any visa fees, provided they meet conditions set by the competent authorities.

A key feature of the new regulation is flexibility: travelers on the free 14-day visa can convert their entry permit into other standard tourist visa categories prior to its expiration, provided they fulfill the necessary requirements and pay the corresponding fees.

The official decision sets the fee for this specific entry visa at zero Omani Rials (OMR 0). According to the ROP, the amendments take effect the day following their publication in the Official Gazette, effectively repealing any prior conflicting provisions.
