MUSCAT — The Muscat Municipality, working in coordination with the Royal Oman Police (ROP), has announced the temporary shutdown of the Amerat–Bausher Mountain Road (Al Jabal Street).
The closure impacts motorists traveling from the Wilayat of Amerat toward the Wilayat of Bausher. Authorities implemented the measure to facilitate essential infrastructure maintenance, specifically focusing on clearing loose rocks from the roadside safety barriers and conducting general safety enhancements.
The temporary restriction went into effect on the evening of Thursday, July 30, and is scheduled to remain active until the evening of Saturday, August 1, 2026.
Motorists and travelers have been advised to plan their journeys ahead of time, exercise caution, and use alternative routes while the safety operations are underway.
