MUSCAT — The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has issued an urgent advisory for motorists traveling along the Sultan Said bin Taimur Road, commonly known as the Adam–Thumrait Road.
Drivers are being urged to exercise extreme caution due to hazardous driving conditions caused by active winds, which have led to significant sand accumulation on parts of the highway and a sharp drop in horizontal visibility.
Authorities have advised road users to remain vigilant, particularly when navigating through the affected sections. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, maintain a safe following distance, and strictly adhere to traffic safety guidelines to prevent accidents as strong winds continue to impact the area.
