Muscat- The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) in Oman has issued a strong reminder urging all online vendors—including individuals and businesses that showcase products and accept orders through social media platforms—to officially secure an e-commerce licence, regardless of the type of consumer goods they sell (such as clothing, abayas, cosmetics, or toys).
Additionally, the ministry is encouraging all newly licensed online operators to register and verify their digital stores through the official Maroof Oman platform ([https://maroof.om/](https://maroof.om/)). This step is designed to make commercial activities more transparent, display vital business details, and build greater credibility and trust with online shoppers.
