Muscat: As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance electronic services and facilitate accessibility, Muscat Governorate, representing the municipal sector, is highlighting the availability of temporary and permanent parking permit services through the Baladiyeti mobile app.
You can accomplish most of your transactions electronically … Parking permit included,” states the Governorate’s awareness series on its services and facilities.
The Baladiyeti app offers temporary and permanent parking permits with the following option: RO 15 per month for one feeable zone; RO 20 per month for all fee zones.
Required documents for parking permits:
• Valid Identity Card
• Vehicle ownership details
• Number of months needed for the permit
• Previous permit number (if applicable)
• Area selection (specific or all areas)
Explaining about the transfer service for motorists having valid parking permits, the Governorate stated: “If you have a valid parking permit for your vehicle, you can edit its details, transfer the permit to another vehicle, or even change the booking area within the current permit.”
Required documents to apply for amending or transferring a vehicle parking permit:
• Identity Card
• Commercial Registration Papers
• Permit to be amended
• Previous and new vehicle ownership
• Identifying the new area required for the permit
Service fee for permit modification or transfer is RO 2 per space.
