Mascat: A new landmark is set to grace the skyline of the Sultanate of Oman on May 22, as Muscat Municipality prepares to formally inaugurate the Al Khuwair Square project, featuring the nation’s tallest flagpole under the patronage of His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat.
The ceremony will mark the official raising of the Omani flag on this monumental structure, symbolising pride and national identity.
The inauguration event, scheduled for for Thursday at Al Khuwair Square in Muscat, will be held under the patronage of His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, and in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality.
Announcing the inauguration of the flagpole and opening of the square, Muscat Municipality stated: “21,638m² of beauty and identity – this Thursday, we open the gates of Al Kuwair Square to everyone.”
