Muscat- Muscat Municipality, in partnership with the private sector, has announced the operation of vehicle imaging sensors in paid public parking areas of Al Khuwair and Al Ghubra.
Starting Sunday, October 13, 2024, the sensors will be operational in designated public parking lots, enhancing the efficiency of parking management in these areas.
“Muscat Municipality would like to inform the public that the sensors equipped with the vehicle imaging service will be part of Muscat Municipality’s efforts to upgrade its systems towards smart and sustainable cities in partnership with the private sector,” stated an announcement from the municipality.
To reserve parking spaces, users can utilise the following methods:
Muscat Municipality Website: Available for long-term parking permits (one month or more).
The municipality has implemented a grace period of five minutes before issuing a violation for parking infractions.
SMS Service: Text to 90091 by entering the vehicle plate number, followed by a space, then the plate code, another space, and finally the desired parking duration in minutes (30, 60, or 120).
