Muscat – The Public Prosecution has issued a stern warning regarding the illegal cutting, uprooting, or damaging of trees, bushes, and grass within public forests.
According to Articles 21/a and 38 of the Law on Conservation of Environment and Prevention of Pollution, individuals found guilty of these actions may face significant penalties.
Offenders could be subject to imprisonment for up to three months or a fine of RO 5,000, or both. The Public Prosecution emphasizes that these measures are in place to protect and preserve Oman’s natural resources and to uphold environmental integrity.
