Muscat: The Earthquake Monitoring Centre at Sultan Qaboos University has reported a moderate earthquake in the Arabian Sea, registering a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale.
According to the Centre, the tremor occurred at precisely 2:02 PM local time on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. The epicentre was located approximately 235 kilometres south-southwest of Salalah in Dhofar Governorate.
