Muscat: Heavy to moderate rainfall battered several wilayats in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, triggering the overflow of valleys and ravines across Dima and At-Tayyin and Al Mudhaibi.
In the Wilayat of Dima and Al-Tayyin, villages nestled along the eastern slopes of the Al-Hajar mountains—including Mas, Al-Subul, Naqsi, Mahlah, and Dima—were drenched by showers ranging from heavy to light. The rains led to the gushing flow of several valleys and ravines, notably Naqsi, Ham, and Al-Rayhani, as well as streams surrounding the towering Qa’bat mountain.
Meanwhile, in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, the storm system extended its reach to the villages of Al Rawdah, Al Wariyah, Al Misfah, and Baad, as well as areas within the Niyabat of Samad Al Shan and southern parts of the wilayat. The intensity of the rainfall caused key valleys to overflow, including Baad, Al Wariyah, Al Jarda, Al Rak, and Al Rawdah valleys.
