Muscat: A moderate earthquake was recorded by the Sultan Qaboos University Earthquake Monitoring Center in the Wilayat of Shaleem and the Hallaniyat Islands, located in the Dhofar Governorate.
The earthquake occurred at 2:32 PM local time on April 27, 2025, with a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter scale.
The epicentre of the tremor was located approximately 155 kilometres northeast of Salalah city, with a depth of 4 kilometres.
