Companies in Muscat and 9 Omani governorates will switch to remote work on October 15.

Muscat- The National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) has announced the suspension of all schools as well as work in private and public sectors in nine governorates, with the option of remote work/study on Tuesday, October 15.

 Following the warning from the National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards regarding the expected heavy rainfall in some governorates – ranging between 40-90 mm – the National Committee for Emergency Management has decided to suspend work and study in the public and private sectors and switch to remote work on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

The governorates covered under this alert include Muscat, South Sharqiyah, North Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, North Al Batinah and South Al Batinah, as well as the mountainous areas in the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi.
