Ministry Announces Removal of Inactive Businesses in Oman

Muscat- The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion has announced the delisting of commercial records belonging to businesses that have ceased operations or have not been renewed.

This decision aims to regulate the market and ensure that all active commercial records accurately reflect functioning businesses.

Companies that wish to contest their delisting are required to submit an objection form within thirty days from the date of this announcement.

The announcement (8/2024) reads as follows:

“Based on Commercial Register Law No. 3/74, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion announces the delisting of expired commercial registers (companies) due to the failure of their owners to renew them and the cessation of their commercial activities. These procedures are being implemented as part of the effort to organize registered data and information, and to identify active registers that are in compliance with the laws and issued regulations.

“Any party wishing to object to this delisting is hereby required to complete the objection form by scanning the QR code pro- vided and submitting their objection within thirty (30) days from the date of this announcement via email. soce@tejarah.gov.om.”
