Oman’s CPA refunds over RO 1,150 to South Batinah consumers.

Muscat- The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) in South Al Batinah Governorate has successfully intervened in a consumer dispute, resulting in a refund of RO 1,153 for a group of consumers.

The Authority stated that it received several complaints from consumers against a local commercial entity dealing in electronic and electrical appliances. The consumers complained of defects in electronic devices shortly after purchase as well as delays in the delivery of products.

When attempts to reconcile failed, the CPA stepped in to mediate the dispute, summoning both the consumers and the commercial entity for a meeting. Through negotiations and discussions, the Authority facilitated a settlement that required the establishment to refund the specified amount to the affected consumers.
